Super 8 by Wyndham Rapid City Rushmore Rd

Management was amazing. Super friendly, sociable, and increased the quality of the entire experience. Sadly our car was hit by someone pulling out of their parking space, but management quickly aided in searching security footage and working with the polic to help us file a police report. While the room did not have an excess of amenities like coffee or water cups, it was clean, organized, and was a relaxing place to rest after a long day.

I don't know what people's standards are for the cheapest hotel in town. But I guess they want the best? Sure, this hotel is in need of repairs. Yes, it's not the best location. But I've been here many times and have not had any problems. I mind my own business and nothing happens. If I have a noise complaint, I simply call down to the office and it gets resolved pretty quickly. The owner and management as well as the housekeepers are beyond friendly. If you folks want to stay at a nicer place then cough up your dough for another one and have no gas next week. Lol nice place though. Awesome staff. Btw, 202 has amazing water pressure.

It’s not easy to gain my trust, especially because of my past experiences with hotels around the area. After being confronted by one of the workers who thought I didn’t have a room here, totally changed my mind. I had a good talk with them about the experiences of rapid city itself from their view and in general the city isn’t the safest place, as aren’t most bigger cities. The employee’s of this super 8 understand that and have 24/7 surveillance of the area which helps a lot especially as someone who worries about robberies and other common problems associated with bigger cities. In general the beds are clean and comfy, which really matters the most. If you forget shampoo or conditioner then you don’t have to worry, as the bathrooms are more then stocked for a three day stay. So if you are looking for an affordable and safe place to stay then I would pick this hotel for sure.

I had to book a last minute hotel room and was fortunate enough to be able to get a room here for a good rate. The first thing I noticed was how clean the room smelled. The staff was friendly as well. I talked to the Manager, Tom, literally for 3 hours. He was super nice and we got along wonderfully.

New to town and I was skeptical because of the low price i though i would be getting a bad room for such a low price but no i was wrong the front desk person was quick and friendly the room was very clean no bad smell or dirt in sight the shower was most impressive very clean and it got very hot which I needed after a long hard day I will recommend this place to any one any day and such a great price

Pros: The price was good. My room was clean and did not have any funky smells. The staff is nice and very helpful with tourist information. Thank you Tom. I appreciate the map and information. Cons: This hotel is old and outdated. It definitely shows its age and could use some renovations. The carpet in the hallway is old and stinks. (Carpet in the room was newer and did not stink) Overall It is a good value if you are on a budget.

My wife and I stayed here for two nights. The hotel staff were some of the kindest and most accommodating people I’ve ever come across at a hotel. Unfortunately, there was a slight cigarette smell in the hallways, but that’s not something I can really hold against the hotel itself. Our shower was cold at first, but the staff did everything they could to fix the issue and ultimately moved us to another room with hot water, which we really appreciated. This is a budget hotel, and it was by far the cheapest option in town when we booked.

Tom, the Manager, was very helpful and full of recommendations on what to see and where to eat. The front desk gals were helpful and kind as well. One even suggested the awesome idea of using area maps as wrapping paper for souvenir gifts! Our room was very clean, and service was great. There seem to be full time renters on property, which could make it feel a little "sketch" at the location, but no need to worry! We spent four days there and it was great. As they say, don't judge a book by its cover. Our room had some recent updates, and the shower had a lot of water pressure, which felt fantastic after a long day.
